Basketry at Camphill Blair Drummond encompasses as many aspects of this ancient craft as students wish to explore. Basket making requires patience, concentration and precision. It enables students to work towards a tangible goal at their own pace developing manual strength, accuracy, numeracy and concentration.

By exploring their imagination and ideas students can learn to make traditional and abstract creations, gaining confidence from their progress and achievements. Led by Kate Kramer, the basketry workshop uses recyclable or locally grown materials including willow from the garden at Blair Drummond. The workshop provides a secure and peaceful setting.
