A be-friender's story

I volunteered to become a Be-friender about 18 months ago, and I have found it to be very rewarding. I look forward to meeting my friend Duncan and he also looks forward to our time together. I have also got to know other people through Duncan, his family and friends that he has introduced to me. He is a doorway for meeting people.

Our outings vary depending on the weather and we have worked in the workshops together. We go to garden centres, take walks along the rivers and lochs to watch the anglers, go window shopping, and have a coffee in a cafe.
