Bonfire night

Nov
5

Bonfire night or Guy Fawkes has its roots in history when a plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament with gunpowder was foiled on 5th November 1605. Guy Fawkes was caught and executed. To celebrate the safety of the King and Members of Parliament, bonfires were set alight on the 5th November, a tradition that is just as strong today. At Camphill Blair Drummond we celebrate with a community bonfire.
