Maundy Thursday is derived from the word ‘mandatum’. It is a day when the simple act of sharing a meal together is rediscovered as a meaningful deed of fellowship.
At Camphill Blair Drummond, we celebrate with a simple supper of nettle soup, bread rolls, a jug of water and green grapes. We dress the tables with white table cloths and white candles and listen to a reading before the meal begins.
