May Day is traditionally celebrated as the beginning of summer. Being outside in the open air is a natural expression of summer freedom and has led to the tradition of Maypole dancing.
At Camphill Blair Drummond we take the opportunity to enjoy being outside, weather permitting. We hold ribbons attached to the May Pole and dance around it to celebrate the beginning of summertime.
